Why Choose Rishikesh for Your Yoga Teacher Training?

The moment you get to Rishikesh, everything slows down. The Ganga sound, the air from the Himalayas, and the slow pace of life here all make you feel closer to yourself. You don't just come here to do yoga; you come here to feel it.

By studying in Rishikesh, you can learn yoga where it all began, in a place with real teachers and a very spiritual vibe. If you get away from the things that normally bother you, you can really focus on your practice, growth, and inner clarity. In addition to training, the city offers peaceful and beautiful moments:

  1. Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat - a very moving ceremony.
  2. Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula - peaceful places to walk with views of the river.
  3. Neer Garh & Patna Waterfalls - peaceful places to get away from nature.
  4. Beatles Ashram - a place of history, peace, and inspiration.

Rishikesh does more than teach you yoga; it helps you feel it, live it, and keep it up after you finish your training.

The study has:

  1. Reviewing at pranayama and its benefits.
  2. How to understand the pranic body.
  3. How prana is linked to health and way of life.
  4. Pranayama for spiritual seekers.

Skills you'll learn: Surya Bheda, Ujjayi, Bhastrika Kapalbhati, Sheetali, Sheetkari, Bramari, and Nadishodhana

Plus Bandhas (Energy Locks): Learn how to lock and move your energy with Mula Bandha, Jalandhara Bandha, and Uddiyana Bandha.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is one of the best ways to work out in the world. It can help you lose weight and improve your overall health. At this level, you'll practice with a pro to make sure you learn it safely and correctly.

You will look into:

  1. How the body works and how joints move.
  2. Shiva Namaskar and the Surya Namaskar.
  3. Matsyasana, different types of Padmasana, Lolasana, Kukkutasana, and Garbhasana are some traditional poses.

Special Food For Yogis

Food isn't just fuel; it's a part of your yoga journey. At Pankaj Yogpeeth, our meals are known worldwide for their great taste and variety. Each dish is made from scratch by an experienced chef using only organic veggies. The course fee covers everything, and the food is both vegetarian and healthy.

Nutritionists and yogis see food in different ways. We don't focus on counting carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead, we look at how food changes your mind and energy through three factors: Sattvic foods are important because they keep your energy level steady, your mind clear, and your body ready for hard practice.

Quality How It Makes You Feel What We Serve
Sattvic Energized, light, clear, enthusiastic Fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains
Rajasic Restless, overstimulated, agitated Minimal, kept in balance
Tamasic Sluggish, lazy, heavy, dull Avoided, especially overly sweet foods

Why Diet Matters in Yoga

Consider what you do every day: you bend, twist, stretch, and move through asanas. To do all of that takes a lot of energy! Not only does your body need food that heals and feeds it, but so does your mind and spirit. Yoga is more than just exercise; it's a way to find peace in your mind, body, and spirit. img_6960a1c06f897_sattvic_food_in_Yoga_retreat.jpeg

Some Famous Vegetarian Food in Rishikesh

Jhangore ki Kheer Phanu Mandua Rotti
  1. This traditional Pahari dessert is like a bowl of comfort. It is made with barnyard millet cooked in milk and sugar, kewra essence added for taste, and almonds and raisins on top. The most enjoyable part? A lot of protein and nutrients that are good for your heart and help keep your blood sugar in check. It's sweet, filling, and healthy.
  2. A creamy, healthy lentil dish made with gahat, arhar, or green mung dal that has been soaked for at least 4 to 6 hours before cooking. It has a great creamy texture since it is simpler to digest after soaking. It's easy to make, good for you, and just what your body needs after practice.
  3. Mandua (or Ragi) is an old grain that people in Uttarakhand have consumed for hundreds of years, and they are right to do so. Millet flour is full of nutrients and makes great flatbreads that offer you energy without weighing you down. We would probably avoid half of our health problems if we all ate like people in the mountains.
