Breathe with her

Nadi Shodhana, the breath that balances

Alternate nostril breathing, the first pranayama many students learn. The breath rises through ida, the cool lunar channel on the left, and falls through pingala, the warm solar channel on the right, until the two are even. Follow one round.

Inhale 4 Close the right nostril with the thumb; breathe in through the left.
  1. Inhale left
  2. Hold crown
  3. Exhale right
  4. Inhale right
  5. Hold crown
  6. Exhale left

Breathe gently, never strain. Learn pranayama with a teacher, as every practice has its cautions.
